WLX HOSTED AN ON-AIR POLITICAL FORUM TUESDAY, OCTOBER 2 AT THE STATION’S STUDIOS.  MODERATED BY BILL PHILLIPS, CANDIDATES WERE PRESENTED WITH A SERIES OF QUESTIONS HIGHLIGHTING ISSUES PRESENTLY FACING TENNESSEE OR ITEMS THAT WILL BE VOTED ON IN THE COMING GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

CANDIDATES BARRY DOSS, JOHN JOHNSON, AND CALVIN MOORE ATTENDED THE EVENING AND PRESENTED THEIR STANCE ON THE ISSUES IN A 90 SECOND RESPONSE.  THE MEN WERE ALLOWED A TOTAL OF 3 MINUTES FOR CLOSING STATEMENTS.

SENATE CANDIDATES TY COBB AND DR. JOEY HENSLEY HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO ANSWER THE SAME SET OF QUESTIONS THAT TIME WOULD ALLOW.  BOTH SENATE CANDIDATES WERE ALLOWED 90 SECONDS FOR A RESPONSE AND A 3 MINUTE CLOSING STATEMENT.

PLEASE NOTE ALL CANDIDATES WERE GIVEN A LIST OF THE 20 QUESTIONS IN ADVANCE OF TUESDAY NIGHT’S EVENT.  THE QUESTIONS WERE RANDOMIZED AND PRESENTED AT THE WILL OF THE MODERATOR.  AS MANY QUESTIONS AS POSSIBLE WERE ASKED TO THE CANDIDATES IN THE 60 MINUTE ALLOWANCE OF EACH RACE.
