COLUMBIA WOMAN ADDED TO TBI’S LIST OF MOST WANTED
(APRIL 11, 2014)  THE TENNESSEE BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION HAS AGAIN ADDED DETERINES CORTAE CATHEY OF COLUMBIA TO THE STATE'S TOP TEN MOST WANTED LIST.  ACCORDING TO A TBI PRESS RELEASE, CATHEY IS NOW WANTED BY THE FBI AND THE TBI FOR MURDER IN AID OF RACKETEERING.  LAST WEEK, HE WAS INDICTED BY A FEDERAL GRAND JURY FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE AND IS WANTED IN CONNECTION WITH A 2009 HOMICIDE IN COLUMBIA.  IN DECEMBER 2013, CATHEY WAS CAPTURED BY THE U-S MARSHAL'S FUGITIVE TASK FORCE AFTER BEING ON THE MOST WANTED LIST FOR HIS INVOLVEMENT IN AN UNRELATED OCTOBER 2013 AGGRAVATED ASSAULT IN COLUMBIA.  HE IS CURRENTLY OUT ON BOND ON THOSE CHARGES.  TWO WEEKS AGO, CATHEY WAS BUSTED IN LAWRENCEBURG ON DRUG CHARGES FOLLOWING A TRAFFIC STOP.  24 YEAR-OLD DETERINES CORTAE CATHEY, ALSO KNOWN AS "WEEDA", IS A BLACK MALE WITH BLACK HAIR AND BROWN EYES, APPROXIMATELY 6 FEET 2 INCHES TALL AND 160 POUNDS.  HE HAS A TATTOO OF THE LETTERS "K-C" ON HIS LEFT CHEEK AND OTHER TATTOOS ON BOTH ARMS.  CATHEY IS A CONVICTED FELON, A CONFIRMED MEMBER OF THE KITCHEN CRIPS GANG AND IS CONSIDERED DANGEROUS.  ANYONE WITH INFORMATION ON HIS WHEREABOUTS IS URGED TO CALL THE TBI AT 1-800-824-3463.  INFORMATION ON CATHEY'S LOCATION WILL ALSO BE ACCEPTED BY THE FBI, MAURY COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND COLUMBIA POLICE DEPARTMENT.  THERE IS A ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO HIS ARREST.
