EIGHT TEENS STILL ON THE LOOSE AFTER EARLY TUESDAY ESCAPE
(SEP 2, 2014)  EIGHT TEENS WERE STILL AT LARGE TUESDAY MORNING AFTER DOZENS ESCAPED FROM A TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN'S SERVICES YOUTH DETENTION CENTER IN NASHVILLE MONDAY NIGHT.  ACCORDING TO MEDIA REPORTS, 32 TEENAGERS MANAGED TO ESCAPE FROM THE WOODLAND HILLS YOUTH DEVELOPMENT CENTER AROUND 11 P-M.  THEY OVERWHELMED STAFF MEMBERS AND MANAGED TO GET INTO THE YARD AND BREAK THRU A WEAK SPOT IN THE FENCE.  AN OVERNIGHT MANHUNT HAS LED TO THE CAPTURE OF 24 OF THE TEENS.  THE ESCAPEES ARE ALL BOYS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 14 AND 18 YEARS OF AGE FROM ACROSS THE STATE AND MOST HAVE AT LEAST THREE FELONIES ON THEIR RECORDS.  THEY WERE ALL WEARING A UNIFORM OF DARK BLUE PANTS, GRAY OR WHITE SHIRTS AND BLACK SHOES.  NASHVILLE POLICE AND THE TENNESSEE HIGHWAY PATROL ARE STILL SEARCHING FOR THE REMAINING ESCAPEES.
